Written in 2005, this fic is an introspective character study of two of the most beloved minor characters from Lois and Clark.

Sunrise, Sunset

Rated G.

Sunrise, Sunset )
hazelrah: (lois and clark)
Written in early 2002, for Meredith's fairy tale challenge. Set some time in early S2, with very vague spoilers for The House of Luthor.

Disclaimer: Parody is permitted under law, but Lois and Clark don't belong to me anyway. :) Special thanks to Meredith for her delightful challenge!

The Evil Stepmother's Manifesto )
hazelrah: (job for superman)
Wendy Richards wrote My Friend and I wrote this sequel with her permission in the summer of 2001. My first present-tense ficlet, and my only fic from Jimmy Olsen's perspective. Heavy spoilers for That Old Gang of Mine.

Author's Note )

This will not make any sense unless you read the first section, linked above.

My Friend, part 2 )
hazelrah: (superman)
Written in late 2000, and my second rewrite of Tempus, Anyone? - only this time, from an unusual "certain point of view." Rated PG.

Author's notes )

Disclaimer: All rights to Superman and the other characters in this story belong to DC Comics and Warner Brothers -- with the exception of H.G. Wells, who presumably belonged to himself. Dialogue taken directly from Tempus, Anyone? isn't mine either. Come to think of it, none of this is really mine. Hope you enjoy it anyway. :)

A Certain Point of View )

Written in March 2000, this fic inspired a new entry to the LnC fandom lexicon that is still in use today.

The Ultimate Drug

Rated G.

In this tongue-in-cheek story, Lois interviews the strangely-named Dr. Folk about an insidious addiction that has no cure.

The Ultimate Drug )
hazelrah: (writer at work)
Written in December 1999: my first episode rewrite, and my first long fic.

The Mirror Crack'd

Rated PG.

A rewrite of Tempus, Anyone? that shifts the episode to late S2, the night before And the Answer Is...

Tempus accidentally snatches Lois before she knows that CK=S -- and Wells isn't there to help Lois figure things out!

Disclaimer: dialogue and descriptions taken from the episode "Tempus, Anyone?" presumably belong to Warner Brothers; Superman, Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and the other citizens of Metropolis belong to whomever currently owns the copyright on those characters and locations. H.G. Wells belongs to himself, no doubt, but he's not in this story anyway. :)

Author's notes: Thanks to Sammi Burleigh for giving me the original inspiration for this story; to Margaret Brignell for introducing me to FoLCdom in the first place and doing a same-day delivery on her excellent beta-editing; and many, many thanks to the regulars at Zoomway's fanfic message board for their advice and encouragement! Without their help, this story would have never made it out of my brain, much less off my hard drive.

The Mirror Crack'd )
hazelrah: (superman)
Written in late 1999. This is crackfic of sorts, although how long it takes for the penny to drop depends on the reader.

Escape From Krypton?

Rated PG.

A very different look at Lara and Jor-El's reasons for sending Kal-El to Earth. Set pre-series, with vague spoilers for Foundling.

Escape From Krypton? )
hazelrah: (job for superman)
My very first LnC fanfic, written in the fall of 1999.

Honor Among Thieves

Rated G.

Superman gets a mysterious message to meet someone in a dark alley off Suicide Slum, but the results of the meeting are hardly what he expects. Set some time in early S2.
